At Christmas we supported local charity Boaz with a retiring collection.
The Boaz Project gives people with learning disabilities real work opportunities in a supportive environment. Established as a charity in 2007, the horticultural facility is based on beautiful farmland at Sutton Scotney, just a few miles from Wherwell.
Adults benefit from working on the farm, tending the animals and using their produce to cook, make chutneys and jams to sell. They learn as they go, growing in independence and confidence as they acquire skills which Boaz hopes will make them employable.
The charity relies on volunteers to provide support on the farm, and were most grateful for the generous donations raised at our concert.
