Wherwell Priory and Church hosted a special event
on 12 May 2012 to celebrate our rich local history:
Wherwell Pageant
Theologian and historian Professor Mary Grey and the Reverend Professor June Boyce-Tillman (Professor of Applied Music at the University of Winchester) collaborated to produce a musical pageant “The River is Flowing”, a history of Wherwell Abbey from its origins to the present day.
The event featured Wherwell Singers, the Spotlight Singers and Craig;Morgan;Robson as well as children from Wherwell School, and was very well received.
